I started my Etsy shop while listening to my (very pessimistic and still in school) husband tell me, "It'll never work." And while I did have to redefine what I wanted to sell a few times to find what worked best for my talents and time, I have to say that it has been a great experience and I have found some truly wonderful people by indulging myself in this hobby/business.

I came up with the shop name, "Frivolous Necessity," after a splurge purchase of fabric and quilty goodness. I wanted it until, really, I just needed it. I can say that this "problem" has repeated itself many, many times. Many, many times.

My current motto: Life is short, buy the fabric!

This little shop has been with me through 4 moves, 4 kids, and some easy and hard times providing an outlet for my creativity and making me feel productive.
